ABSTRACT
This report deals with macro-economic studies and analyses of pho-
togrammetric surveys and mapping.
The following items are subject of specific consideration: Pre-
sent status of world-wide surveying and mapping, annual progress rates,
the contribution of photogrammetry to surveying and mapping, the impact
of (photogrammetric) surveying and mapping on the'national and world's
economy, impact of map accuracy, map content and map revision on the
economy of (photogrammetric) mapping. Conclusions and recommendations
are presented.
