information, i.e. contour lines, spot heights, slopes
etc.
3. the cadastral sheet showing the property boundaries
from the cadastral map. The property situation is
fitted to the topographical sheet and to the ortho-
photo. If the cadastral map is of poor quality the
best fit will be obtained by transforming all digi-
tally registered boundary points of the cadastral

reference points by automatic compilation (Ref. 6).
This method of boundary adjustment is particularly
suitable for automatic plotting of new cadastral
overlays.
4. the orthophoto sheet of the construction site in the
form of a screened diapositive. This diapositive can
be combined or printed together with the other over-
lays. The presentation of all details of the terrain,
including the vegetation cover, in an orthophoto in
connection with the final design is of advantage also
for the confirmation of the design-map. The facility
of identifying legal boundaries in the orthophotomap
by the proprietor himself avoids misunderstandings
during right-of-way negotiations.
