BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Jon D. Erickson is head of the Multispectral Analysis Group of
the State of Michigan-sponsored Environmental Research Institute of
Michigan which formerly was the Willow Run Laboratories, under the previous
administration of The University of Michigan. Dr. Erickson received his
B.S.E. in Science Engineering in 1959. his M.S.E. in 1962, and his
Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering in 1966 from The University of Michigan.
He served as Deputy Director (site director) of the Mount Haleakala
Observatory, Maui, Hawaii until 1969 when he returned to Ann Arbor.
He is a member of the American Physical Society, American Nuclear Society,
American Association for the Advancement of Science and has published
in the fields of neutron Spectroscopy, communications and automatic
control, lidar, astrodynamics, optical signatures and signal processing,
and remote sensing of environment.
