ABSTRACT 
of the National Report concerning the development 
of photogrammetric application in the People's 
Republic of Bulgaria 
The National Report discusses the work of the seven 
comalssions during the years from 1972 to 1976. It is stated 
that in that period the photogrammetric method in the People’s 
Hepublic of Bulgaria found a wide application. Three national 
conrerences with up-to-date themes were held. A description 
is given of the apparatus and processing methods of the indi- 
vidual commissions and a. comment is made on the achievements 
and usefulness of their work. 
Photogrammetric plotting of the country territory at 
various scales is performed mainly by an analogue method. 
Analytic photogrammetry in the recent years has begun a dy- 
namic development. Land photogrammetry in many nontopographic 
regions is successfully and singleheartedly applied. That 
gives solution to many economic and building problems. The 
range of photogrammetric application expands every year and 
in the mentioned period the use of photogrammetric methods 
has risen by about 40 percent. In the report of Commission VI 
the short history of the development of photogrammetry in 
the People’s Republic of Bulgaria is well depicted and the 
training of specialists at high schools institutes is being 
discussed. At the end of the report there is shown the sig- 
nificance of laboratory interpretation and the experience 
in that direction is dwelt upon.
