The Presidents of the FSP have been Mr. A. Rainesalo, Prof. R.S. Halo- 
nen, Dr.h.c. K.G. Lofsrom, Mr. K. Eranti:, Mr. H.E. Lyytikainen, Mr. K. 
Rainesalo, and, at present, Mr. S. Härmälä, Chief Director of the 
National Board of Survey. 
The Vice-President is now Mr. H. Raevaara, the Secretary Mr. J. Hakkarai- 
nen, the Treasurer Mr. M. Seppdld. The other Members of the Board are 
Mr. H. Fredriksson and Mr. S. Jaakkola. 
In July 1975 the Society suffered a great loss at the death of Prof. 
R.S. Halonen, Congress Director and Honorary Member of the Society. 
Professor Halonen was succeeded by Dr.h.c. K.G. Lofsrtom as Congress 
Director. 
The whole activity of the Society has been directed to the arrangements 
for the XIII Congress of ISP, and in its work the Society has been 
supported by the ISP Council. The President of ISP has visited Finland 
and acquainted himself with the congress arrangements.
