2, Photogrammetric instruments

Photogrammetric plotting, and the manufacture of photogrammetric products
are being operatively dealt with by 6 companies in Hungary: Budapest Geodetic
and Cartographic Co /BGTV/, Cartography Enterprise /KV/, Geodetic and
Cartographic Co of Pécs /PGTV/, Surveyor and Soil Test Co /FTV/, the
National Forestry Service, and the relevant organization of the Army. The
medium and high -grade educational institutes also work with a number of
different photogrammetric instruments,
The instrument pool of the individual companies enumerated above is very
much different, including SEG -V, SEG-I, and Orion-IV rectifying photo -
grammetric units, while the plottig instruments of stereo -photogrammetry
enlist Stereometrograph, Topocart-Orthophot, Stereoplanigraph, Technocart,
A-7 Autograph, A-8 and A-9 Autograph, PG-2, some SzPR-2, anda few
Stecometer units,
3, Photogrammetric control densification

Hungarian practice employs in general analogous strip triangulation based on
the A-7 Autograph, The plotting instruments equipped with recording unit
perform semi-analytical and in-model densifications as well, while the stereo-
comparators conduct analytical densification, The computation program
elaborated for the latter constructs strips from models as early as in the very
first step.
The field of application for photogrammetric control densification is, above all,
large scale mapping /1:1000, 1:2000/, where it may replace lower order
triangulation and traversing; the signalzed and stabilized fix points of the
terrain are given co-ordinates by a photogrammetric process. Other fields
of application include special surveys like road planning and design, railway
surveying, preliminary plans of industrial establishments, etc, and 1:10000
topographic mapping.
The photogrammetric point field is fitted into the geodetic system by electronic
computer programs, For adjustments a number of Hungarian programs are
