9. - Do you revise your maps ? Yes L |! No [
(By map revision we understand the bringing up to date of the planimetric and altimetric contents
of a map).
10.- What type of map revision do you apply for the various types you produce ?
(Please distinguish as follows :
A - Quick revision. Revision of only the most important topographic features, like highways,
important roads and new lay-outs of towns.
B - Partial revision. Revision of some prechoiced parts of a map sheet, If only planimetry
is concerned, please add (P).
C - Complete revision. Revision of the total map contents. If only planimetry is concerned,
please add (P).
Such revisions can be executed in three ways :
1 - Continuous. Every change is directly introduced in the reproduction materials, so that
an up to date copy can be made at any moment.
2 - Cyclic. The revision is executed at predetermined intervals, for instance every year,
every five years, every ten years.
3 - Selective. The revision is executed by an order of priority, the priority being determined
by urgency of demand, or rate of change, and not by a fixed time period).
The type of revision can be indicated by a combination of letters and numbers, e.g. B2 - partial
revision, cyclic, both in planimetry and altimetry ; C3 (P) = complete revision, selective, only
in planimetry. Please indicate this in the diagram below :

please write 0 (zero).

Example : 3 | B2 | 70 | 10
12.- When do you decide to review a map sheet instead of revising it ? (for instance : when the
areas to be changed are more than 70 % of the total area of the sheet). If there is a difference
for the various types of maps, please indicate that in your answer.
