There have been many proposals, and several procedures applied for 
computational methods to improve the accuracy of distances with end 
points in neighbouring models, so that the graphs of figure 1 would apply 
irrespective of whether the end points are situated in the same model or 
not (Gotthardt 1962, Roelofs 1962, Kupfer 1963, Sander 1964, Weissmann 
1971). The interpolation method of Sander (ref. Zeitschrift für Vermes- 
sungswesen 1964: Die Nachbarschaft an Modellrändern bei groszmasz- 
stüábigen photogrammetrischen Auswertungen) is for instance as follows
