This very uncompleted list shows that about ten thousand
university students per year are taking ane or several
courses in photogrammetry, photointerpretation or remote
sensing . But only about one hundred candidates are spe-
cializing in these disciplines per year.
We can presume that in the majority of cases gradua-
te students pur their scientific efforts toward various
applications ard activities in the terrain and in the of-
fice works. It rarely happens that some of them are star-
ting with more profound projects based on solid physical
—- mathematical foundation. The additional comments to this
table and other information are summarized below in accor-
ance with the data delivered by National Correspondents:
Canada /Prof.A.d,.Brendenberger/.

sstionnaiîre was sent tn more than
100 institutions and agencies. Only 37 replies were recei-
ved. 21 universities offer courses in photogrammetry, pho-
tointerpretation and or remote sensing. These courses are
given by least 47 university professor or instructors. The
courses on the technologist ant /or technician level are
given by at least 37 instructors.
The value of photogrammetric equipment at educatio-
nal institutions, research agencies ‘and sections varies
between a few hundred dollars and more than half a mil-
lion dollars each.
Annual funds made available for photogrammetric rese-
arch and development in educational institutions in govern-
ent agencies and private enterprises might be in excess
f 1,5 million of which about f 400.000 goes to eductio -
121 institutions, mainly on the university level. There
are more than 70 professional photogrammetrical resear -
chers /on the university level/, and more than 53 photo-
grammetrical research technicians.
At present Canada produces per year at least about
