SHORT CHRONOLOGICAL HISTORY OF PHOTOGRAMMETRY 
PREFACE 
In the whole world photogrammetrio literature, we cannot 
find a history of the photogrammetry, in spite of all efforts 
made by the International Society for Photogrammetry and re- 
commendations stated within the last International Congress 
of Photogrammetry. 
A work, containing the maîn chronological photogrammetric 
events, from the early age of the photogrammetry till now, 
proves to be very useful in the education field and for spe- 
cialists working in the photogrammetric organizations, as 
well. We believe, that this "chronological history" concept 
is more approachable. 
Obviously, it was very difficult to collect all this in- 
formation, sometimes dated differently in the investigated 
bibliographical sources; it was strange that some actual da 
ta could be established with great difficulty, in compari - 
son with some data regarding the beginning of the photogram- 
metry. 
This work contains data, information regarding the world 
photogrammetry aiming at involving the coming out of some 
methods and technologies, equipment or parts of it, the main 
books or periodical publications, scientific meetings and 
the establishment of the National Organizations, and the ve- 
ry first stages in different fields of activity, as comple- 
te as possible. 
some information concerning events prior to the photo - 
grammetry coming out, those considered to forward it, were 
also mentioned. 
This work contains 292 information presented chronolo- 
gically, as concise as possible. The most important events
