Traffico survey
Aerial photography
The aerial photography for the survey was made with a
Hasselblad 500 EL/C (£=80 mm, frame 57x57 mm). The camera
platform was a Cessna 172 aeroplane, from which the right
door was removed in order to get space for the camera mount.
Six photo flights of the survey area were taken according to
the schedule shown in figure 4. No special equipment was
used in the navigation, but the navigator observed the
flight path just visually through the removed door, The
camera was provided with an automatic adjustable timer.
Totally 770 exposures were made from two altitudes, 600 m
and 1200 m, Kodak Tri-X film was used,
Photointerpretation and field checks
The photointerpretation was made by a traffic technician
using a pocket stereoscope directly from the photo negatives.
The number of images interpreted was appr. 600.
