Comparison of these two images reveals that winter imagery is more 
useful for the recognition of end moraine systems (1) while summer 
imagery is better for the delineation of the boundaries of lacustrine 
sediment (2). Clay soils are so extensive in this area that Sandy 
Lake (3) is full of suspended clay particles eroded from the shores.
