Precision and Speed in Close Range Photogrammetry 
Dedicated to the memory of O W Cheffins 
British photogrammetrists lost a good friend and colleague through the 
sudden death of Bill Cheffins in January 1982. A wider international group 
of photogrammetrists knew Bill through his long interest in close range 
photogrammetry and especially his contribution to medical and industrial 
applications. Had he lived, Bill would have played an important part in 
the York Symposium of ISPRS Commission V.
