Fig.9 shows stereo contour lines formed upon the iron plate at 0.5mm intervals by means of the PI-1000, and drawn
upon the 3D image display.
5. CONCLUSION
This paper has demonstrated our high-resolution CCD camera, its calibration experimentation, and 3D
measurement by a digital plotter, which was applied to an iron plate simulating the body of a vehicle. This CCD
camera obtained satisfactory results for camera calibration, using a 3D test-field. It has also been verified that if
this CCD camera is used with a digital plotter as a measurement camera for close-range photogrammetry, our future
measurement work will be extremely simplified with ever higher accuracy.
Finally, we should like to express our determination to ever widen the application fields of this system, to
increase its accuracy as well as to simplify the measurement work itself.
