For the digital rectification of one section of the façade, a close range image was taken, the distance between the camera and the
object being ca. 3 m. Object coordinates of the triangulation were used as control points for the rectification plane. The pixel size
was 1.0 mm in the object. Figure 6 represents the result of the rectification.

4. FUTURE ASPECTS
With the Rollei ChipPack a new high resolution and high accurate digital recording system for optical measurements is available.
With the possibility of a complete computer control this system is very well usable for industrial applications. Future work will be
concentrated at the development of a flexible stand alone system working without computer and at special solutions with frame
grabber support for faster image aquisition. With the modular concept using a standard middle format camera body and standard
lenses the recording system is compatible to future developments. Sensors with 4000 x 4000 sensor elements (or more) and sensor
sizes from 60mm x 60mm will require only a modified ChipPack which easily will be mounted at the camera system without other
hardware changes. So this camera system offers a wide range of applications for future concepts, too.
