at 1 mm/s or less. It should provide isolation from frequencies down 
to 5 Hz or lower. A mount design in which the supporting forces act 
though the centre of gravity of the camera seems a likely way of 
achieving this goal. Consideration might also be given to the possible 
separation of the two mount functions: 1) isolating the camera from 
angular vibration in normal smooth survey flying and 2) protecting the 
camera from mechanical damage in rough conditions or on landing. 
The development of more easily used instrumentation for measure- 
ment of camera angular vibration would be helpful.
