- A Card (Historic Building Unit)
- B Card (Archaeological complex and monument )
- C Card (Works of art )
- D Card (Floors, wall coverings, decorations, and
archaeological stone materials)
- E Card (Containers of moveable items)
- F Card (Human hazards and exposition of the objects)
Another primary object of the research is setting up a WEB GIS
on Line structure in a Client/Server architecture that can be
queried, is user-friendly, and is able to correlate non-uniform
information from distant data sources and archives, in a logic
supporting the broadest possible policy of "participatory" or
"shared" protection, for a precise and specific transfer of the
information to the various subjects in charge, such as the
Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Regions,
Superintendentships, local authorities, citizens, tourists,
professionals or civil servants.
1. Five fields in which specific objectives have been
defied.
1.1 Georeferencing
la Definition of the georeferencing methodologies
commencing from different cartographies and preparation
of the relative specific techniques;
* proposal and setting a "typical" specifications for
georeferencing Cultural Heritage and structuring the
GIS of the data of the Risk Map starting with the file
card outlines required by the ICR;
*
defining data validation and testing criteria.

Figure 1-2 Georeferencing
l.b Development and experimentation of a new approach
to georeferencing and survey of objects by means of on-
site measurements of the coordinates using real-time
methods as well as kinematic post-processing;
* development of a methodology and standard data
handling protocols for using the GPS Pathfinder
Pocket System.
Procuring the various basic cartographies on which to carry
out comparative testing for georeferencing; procuring
cadastral maps to start up experimentation on their possible
on line use;
structuring a GIS developed in the different filing card
outlines supporting the Risk Map;
design and realization of on site georeferencing operations of
heritage objects and contexts with GPS Pathfinder Pocket
System tools;
procuring files and databases (lists, structures, file cards, ...).
Sample area: Region of Lombardy (Regional Pole of the Risk
Map).

1.2 Modelling laser scanner clouds on complex
surfaces and 3D orthophotos.
*Setting up and developing a methodology for generating
surfaces by using expeditious systems of documentation such as
laser scanner by means of multiple acquisition of data clouds;
*study of surface theories, integrated with interpretation
techniques (geometric reasoning) and interpolation (fitting,
statistical analysis) ideal for resolving the problem of
architectonic modelling for the description of objects in the
broad sense;
