Delft, The Netherlands
ABSTRACT
Geoscan is a software system for the design, adjustment and analysis of two-
dimensional networks running on low-cost microcomputers. The system includes
the Delft approach of adjusting geodetic networks. This paper deals with some
major features of Geoscan.
1. INTRODUCTION
Geodelta Engineering Services is a survey company established in 1984. The
company works within the disciplines photogrammetry and geodesy.
Within photogrammetry the main activities are the carrying out of terrestrial and
non-topographic surveys and the development of customized software. This work is
done purely analytical using non-metric cameras.
Within geodesy Geodelta designs, adjusts, tests and analyses geodetic and
deformation networks.
This paper deals with GEOSCAN (acronym of a GEOdetic System for the
Computerized Adjustment of Networks) developed by Geodelta Engineering
Services and Geosoft Consulting.
