The sessions of the Symposium were held in Lappia-House, 
designed by Alvar Aalto, one of the most famous Finnish 
architects. It is the theatre and conference house of the 
City of Rovaniemi. The roof of Lappia-House has derived 
its shape from the mountains of Lapland.
