Swedish organizations actively engaged in
photogrammetric production in 1960
The following data are approximate and the intention is only
to give a general idea about activities and resources. It must
be observed that the various organizations may have based
their estimations of the number of man-months a year on
different principles.

Main activity: Mapping by combination of field work
and plotting from air photographs.
Photogrammetric activities: Aerial stereophotogrammetric
triangulation. Large-scale mapping for road-planning, town-
planning, water-course regulation, power station etc. Medium
scale maps for general-planning and for various purposes in
forestry.
Photogrammetric man-months: Stereo work 72, carto-
graphic work 45, other photogrammetric work 6.

and Co., Consulting Engineers — Gubbängstorget 119, En-

Main activity: Consulting Engineers in most branches of
civil engineering.
Photogrammetric activities: Aerial stereophotogrammetric
triangulation and plotting. The most usual purposes are:

special maps for various other purposes.

engineering, forestry and military. Experience from activity
in the Tropics.
Photogrammetric activities: Any problem in the photo-
grammetric field.
Instruments: In conformity with the main activity any
photogrammetric treatment can be carried out.

Responsible for: Legal and some technical survey in the
country and in some urban areas and for the supervision of
survey in towns and some other urban areas.
Photogrammetric activities: Aerial photo libraries in some
»län» (provinces), legal maps (for reallotment, legal exchange
of land, planning and distribution of costs for the construc-
tion and maintenance of private roads), maps for urban, agri-
cultural, forest and some technical purposes, photointerpreta-
tion for mapping purposes or separately.
Photogrammetric man-months: Stereo work and carto-
graphic and other photogrammetric work centrally in Stock-
holm 170 man-months. The activity in the provinces can not
be stated in a simple way.
Instruments: Wild autographs A5, A7, A8 (3), Multiplex-
bars (5), Stereotop and several stereoscopes.
RIKETS ALLMANNA KARTVERK — Geographical
Survey Office — Hantverkargatan 29, Stockholm K.
Responsible for: Official maps on various scales, geodetic
main net, aerial photography.
Photogrammetric activities: Aerial photography, aerial
photo library, official photogrammetric maps, special photo-
grammetric maps and material (on order).
Photogrammetric man-months: Aerial photography 215,
flight time 1100 h. a year, photo laboratory 360, stereo work
420, cartographic work 1400, other photogrammetric work 120.
Equipment: Aircraft 2 NC701 Siebel, 2 Beech Craft D188.
