Summary
The State Power Board of Sweden has made extensive use of pho-
togrammetric and geodetic procedures in the preparation of plans for
the development of the water power resources in the north of this
country. Aerial photographs have been used for almost all kind of
mapping. The electronic instruments for distance measurement — the
geodimeter and the tellurometer — have been introduced in order to
make possible the establishment of ground control points as rapidly as
required. Combinations of different methods within geodesy and photo-
grammetry have been investigated and the synthesis of the experiences
can be found in the work for the so called Nordkalott-project.
