Expectancy Score
Not only were extensive differences found among individuals, but
a given individual was found to vary appreciably in his ability to inter-
pret different targets. If the assumption is made that, by the use of
the expectancy scoring procedure, the targets on the whole are of approxi-
mately equal difficulty (permitting comparison across targets), then
actual high and low scores for a given man should show his differential
abilities as & photointerpreter. For example, Interpreter J had an
actual high score of 71% on Target 2 and a low score of 0% on Target X,
His average score was 39%.
