INTERPRETATION OF AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS*
Charles L. Pillmore
U. S. Geological Survey
ABSTRACT
The exaggerated profile plotter was designed for drawing vertically
enlarged profiles from aerial photographs of areas in the Black Hills,
Wyoming. It was used primarily as an aid in correlating and tracing
geologic units between field measured stratigraphic sections. The
instrument can be used with any double-projection stereoscopic
plotting instrument.
