Annotation data is also kept by the analysts on their personal disks.
For those who wish to know system commands and the text editor, many
other files can be kept on personal disks.
Annotations can be plotted on a registered chart or overlay. This
is not limited by scale. For instance, annotations digitized from
film of one scale can be plotted on several charts of different scale.
Video output can be the analog video picture actively being seen
by the camera. The analog image can be made into a digital image
stored in digital memory and/or displayed on the monitor. These digital
images can further be manipulated with B/W or color enhancement
software, zoom and scroll operations, and the high speed hardware
warping function.
CRT outputs include geographic coordinates as a response to
interactive query on registered charts and responses to standard
operating system commands.

Single and double headed arrows show where the communication is 1
way or 2 way. The dotted line represents the workstation configuration.
