In designing the correlation programs, emphasis has been placed on the 
operator always being able to watch and correct the correlation process, 
or to use manual methods instead. 
This fall, image correlation with the Planicomp will be used for the first 
time in the automotive industry for measuring the surfaces of industrial 
objects. 
7. Summary 
The still trend-setting Planicomp provides mature measuring methods for 
many fields of application, and these methods are consistently being 
tailored to growing requirements by updates: 
Aerial Triangulation 
  
Model block adjustment with automatic gross error handling (PAT-MR). 
Elevation Measurement 
  
Progressive sampling (PROSA), computation of volume and slope data (HIFI), 
use of superimposition for elevation measurement (VIDEOMAP). 
Highway Design 
Highway Design Package for measurement, computation and plotting according 
to US standards (Kucera Ass.). 
Digital Mapping 
  
Clean digitizing and editing (PLANIMAP), use of superimposition (VIDEOMAP), 
2-D digitization (DIGI-AS), high-performance plotting tables (PLANITAB), 
link/transfer to IGS systems (INTERGRAPH, COMPUTERVISION, SIEMENS, SYSCAN). 
Industrial Photogrammetry 
  
Model and bundle block adjustment with additional conditions (C007/BINGO), 
surface measurement by automatic image correlation. 
Carl Zeiss, Oberkochen, will further the Planicomp family also in the 
future.
