ABSTRACT
Optical radiation emanating from water reflects with high degree of certainly the general ecological state
of water body determined by the set of physical, chemical and biological parameters. The use of
emanating radiation only for determination of optically active ingredient concentration (ohvtoolankton
chlorophyll "a", suspended mineral and dissolved organic matters) limits the informative volume of
remote data considerably. In a model experiment with the artificial aquatic ecosystems a remote sensing
spectrometric survey was made synchronously with the determination of hydrochemical and
hydrobiological parameters. The anthropogenic impact by addition of Cu and Hg compounds was
modelled in the ecosystems. The processes of ecosystems adapting to the pollution effects were
considered on the basis a notion of "optical state of an ecosystem". Such approach permitted to
differentiate well a state of the ecosystems subjected and non-subjected to pollution. A designed scheme
for the processing of remote sensing information is used when analyzing spectrometric data obtained
from a board of the observation aircrafts at the different water bodies of Russia.
