During the segmentation step, many approximations were made: degree of similarity of 15, 20, 30 and 35, and 
minimum area of 30 and 40 pixels. The fragmentation level considered adequate to the study was, degree of 
similarity 35 and minimum area of 40 pixels. After definition of these thresholds, a segmented image was 
produced to check if the fragmentation level was adequate or not to the scale used and the reality. In this step, 
1162 polygons were found as shown in figure 5.
