Landsat TM images were interpreted to generate a lineament map. A 1 km? moving window was overlaid on the 
lineament map and the density of lineaments per square km was determined and contoured. As the lineament density 
largely depends on the extent of deformation, this was used as an evidence of deformation intensity.
