7. CONCLUSION 
* Remotely sensed data and GIS is successfully used in micro- 
watershed development 
* Remotely Sensed data provides valuable information on 
comparative seasonal behavior of village tanks and other 
vital information for selecting sites for water harvesting and 
desiltation of tanks 
* GIS is successfully used to generate land and water 
resources development plans executable in the field. 
* The results of implementation show improvement in 
terms of increased yield, productivity and the return to 
the farmers 
* The cost benefit analysis shows a generally successful project 
planning and implementation upto grass root level. 
* This has benefited the end user i.e. the farmer at grass root 
level
