The following information is related to the importance of the
International Course on Remote Sensing and GIS in their
professional and academic career. Currently 92% of them are
working with Remote Sensing, GIS, and most of them for a

Processing, Division of Environmental Protection (SPAM),
Economical Ecological ^ Zoning (ZEE), Education,
Environmental Geology and Geomorphology, Environmental
Impact, Forest Monitoring, Geography Teaching for Grammar
and High School Students, Geological Cartography, Geology
applied to Remote Sensing, Geosciences, ||. /NPE's Image
Generation Division, Land Use, Landscape Ecology (coastal
zones), Meteorology, Natural Disasters, Natural Resources
and Environmental Studies, Natural Resources Handling in
Indigenous Communities, Protected Areas in Amazonian,
Reforestation, Researches for Oil Geological Exploration,
Satellite Images and Aerial Photos Interpretation, Sea and
Coastal Zones Researches, Territorial Ordering, Urban Planning
and Water Resources.
They have been developing the following Remote Sensing and
GIS activities:

different projects and GIS applications;

e. Environmental licensing of forest and agriculture

e Images visual interpretation using supervised and
non-supervised methods and, images processing
using improvement techniques and filters;

Sensing and GIS;

e Monitoring of forested and deforested areas and
fire aiming the sustainable development of the
Legal Amazonian, water resources and pollution;
