i The Publications Policy Committee of ISPRS should carefully consider
and evaluate the proposals presented in this paper.
2. The Publications Policy Committee should formulate in specific terms
those proposals it endorses or any other approved proposals developed in
considering these recommendations, and present these formulations to
the council.
3. | ISPRS Council should consider the proposals presented by the
Publications Policy Committee, approve those proposals it deems
acceptable, and follow with appropriate action.
No one would claim that the proposed changes can be effected merely by
adopting a policy. It will require hard work and an extended time frame. But if
the society begins to install a logical publications policy now, the pieces should all
be in place by long before the year 2000.
