Each photogrammetric instrument (ZEISS) with mechanical projection is furnished
with encoding systems and with online connection to either the HP 1000 computer
of PLANICOMP C100 or to desk top computers Hewlett-Packard HP 9815S, HP 9825,
HP 85 or HP 9835A. So computer assisted orientation, measurement and plotting
can be trained intensively. - Nevertheless, the classical optical- mechanical
methods of orientation have to be known and practiced by every participant of
the fundamental as well as of tbe advanced course.
In the near future a rectifier SEG VI and an Orthoprojector GZ1 will be available.
Training on the new orthocomp 22 will be given directly in the factory in Ober-
kochen.
5. Concluding remarks
Since 1979 the "International Advanced Training Centre for Photogrammetry Opera-
tors (IPO) Stuttgart" has been established and extended step by step up to an
institution which offers fundamental, advanced and special training courses for
photogrammetry operators.
Whereas English was so far the only language of the standard courses, courses
for forestry specialists have already run in French. Starting on October 1st,
1983, the first course in Spanish will be held.
The course programs as well as the equipment will be continuously updated as
to the latest technical achievement.
