Stan Morain is Associate Professor of Geography and 
Director of the Technology Application Center at the 
University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, USA. His 
doctoral degree in geography was conferred from Kansas 
University in Lawrence in 1970 where he subsequently 
Served as research associate at the Center for Research 
in Engineering Science. Dr. Morain is currently serving 
as co-chairman of the joint ASP/ACSM Committee on 
Education.
