® Technologist in Photogrammetry:
Considering the aim of education at this level and the position of a
Technologist in a mapping organisation, it seems very suitable to intro-
duce specialisation within Photogrammetry during such an education. There-
fore education to Technologist level in Photogrammetry is proposed in
principle to be specialised and to provide a good theoretical and in parti-
cular a good practical ability in some selected branches of Photogrammetry.
Nevertheless, considering the needs of some mapping organisations in
developing countries, it seems wise to give a Technologist course parti-
cipant the choice either to specialise himself or to follow a broadly-based
course providing a good theoretical and a good practical ability in all
branches of map production by photogrammetry means.
The authors propose the following diagram of objectives for Technologist
study in Photogrammetry. Curriculum and students performance objectives
being derived at a later stage from this diagram.
