Maintenance costs depend on the contract with the computer supplier and are the 
higher the quicker repairing has to be done. 
Before we show you some searches by direct online connection to the data processor 
at our Company, I will explain how a search ("recherche" 
as we say) is per- 
formed (see Figure 13). 
60% of the demanded original documents as literature and own reports we have avail- 
able within the record-office of our I & D department. 30% we can quickly order 
from the company's central scientific library. The last 10% of relatively seldom 
demanded specific literature we can order from the Techn. Informations-Biblio- 
thek Hannover. 
Now, let us begin with the demonstration. The first two searches are prepared, 
for a better and quicker explanation, but we can also search questions coming 
out of the audience.
