PREFACE 
In preparing this paper it was the intent of the authors to 
address shipbuilders as well as photogrammetrists. Because 
shipbuilders are not intimately familiar with the photogrammeiric 
technology employed, Chapter 2 was prepared primarily for their 
benefit. It is the further intent of the authors to expand this 
paper to include discussions as to how the shipyard actually used 
results of the photogrammetric surveys and what benefits were 
ultimately realized when the ships were joined.
