Summary 
If analytical stereoplotters were designed originally for 
mapping, they are the most suitable stereoplotters for in- 
dustrial applications in photogrammetry. Due to its 
specific viewing system on screen, the TRASTER built by 
Matra Optical Division, favourably met the industrial 
requirements. 
Indeed it can be used by people not trained in photogrammetric 
technique and several people can look at the same time at the 
stereomodel to determine in specific cases what has to be 
measured. 
The paper includes a brief description of TRASTER, how it 
can be used in the industrial field, and some results are 
described.
