This drawing shows the West Front of Fountains Abbey on the Studley Royal Estate in North Yorkshire. This major Cistercian 
Monastery built in phases between the 12th to the 15th Centuries is one of the largest and finest monastic sites in Europe. It is in 
the care of English Heritage and the National Trust. A programme of documentation and recording has been going on for a number 
of years. The photogrammetric process is used extensively in this work. The drawing shows the West Front of the main abbey 
building, original at 1:50 scale, survey by English Heritage, Survey Services - Photogrammetric Unit.
