(ii) Specifications for access and retrieval of data from the Bank should be a main pre-occu-
pation of the Working Group in the next two years. To this end a meeting of the Working
Group should be convened to design and prepare specifications which should be circula-
ted to all ISPRS members free of charge.
(iii) The ISPRS Council through the Joint Board of the International Union of Surveying and
Mapping Organisations should seek the support of one of it's member-nations to host the
International Documentation Centre and arrange the source of funding.
(iv) Working Group V1/2 should endeavour to prepare a programme for preparing, editing
and publishing the texts of volumes I! and Ill.
(v) Working Group VI/3 is to consider the possibilities of establishing a small study group to
review the basic data source (i.e. the ASP mu Iti-lingual Dictionary), update and expand, if
feasible, the terms and definitions to accomodate any additional input from the various
language groups in the English version before finai circulation for translation to the va-

(vii) The President is to continue liason and cooperation with Commission ll on ‘Instruments
for Education’ particularly with respect to the Newsletter and with the FIG and other sis-
"ter organisations on higher and future of photogrammetry and remote sensing education.
(viii) Self — reliance in surveying and mapping for developing countries should be a main occu-
pation of Working Group V1/5. To this end, the Working Group should direct efforts to
identifying such countries that would require assistance and cooperation to establish
facilities in surveying and mapping and seek support of ISPRS member — nations to en-
able them to do so.
