4.3 - COMPUTATION PROGRAM.
To compute the relative orientation of tw
grams in Fortran language have been drawn ups
1) The first program uses the p |
are the following: |
- the orientation parameters of the first photogram,
- the coordinates on the two photograms of the ima
- the height of at least ¢ne ground point,
- the appro imet values of the coordinates of the perspective centres
X Ss Y 5, 22) and of the parameters S : e
By meàns of these data the program computes soe ten parameters of exter
nal orientation of the second photograms x(P ; Tm à 2 ; Sk (2)' 9 0!
q (2)! 9 (2) boy? Bey) (2) and the coordinates'of thé ground point in
the same reference system in which the external orientation parameters of
the first plate are given.
The parameters S

2) The second computation program is based on the formulas 4) and
uses as input data the results given by the first program; therefore, this
second program is to be considered adjustment program rather than a compu
tation program. :
The input data are therefore:
- the known orientation parameters of the first photogram and those of the
second photogram obtained by means of the first program,
- the plate coordinates of the images of the ground point,
- the coordinates of the ground point obtained by means of the first pro
gram.
Through these data the program computes the variations to bring to the o
rientation parameters of the second photogram and to the coordinates of
the ground points.
These two programs have also been used to compute the data concerning
the fictitious model. The results of the computation have been satisfactory.
The oomputation have pointed out that the problem of relative orientation can
be solved by means of the parallax and scaling equations only. However, the
second computation program may be more useful when it is possible to know the
right coordinates of some ground points in the same reference system in which
the orientation parameters of the first photogram are given. Moreover, it is
possible that in peculiar taking conditions, the equations 4) are more suita
ble than the equations for a right model formation.
The further studies concerning the problem of a strip of panoramic pho
tograms will bring other explanations about this subject.
