e Settlements [112], industry [121], sport and leisure sites [142],
coniferous and mixed forests [312, 313] have shown only area
increase between 1984 and 1992.
* The largest relative area increase could be observed (in
decreasing order) for the following categories: mixed forests
[312], coniferous forest [312] and sport and leisure areas [141].
* Construction sites [133], orchards [222] and river water [511]
have shown only area decrease between the two dates.
* The largest relative area decrease could be observed (in
decreasing order) for the following categories: construction
sites [133], transitional woodland-scrub [324] and mines [131].
e Large absolute area growth was shown for broad-leaved forests
[311] and settlements [112], while pastures [231] and
transitional woodland-scrub [324] lost significant areas.
® Transitions of agricultural land [2.] to artificial surfaces [1..]
and forests [3.] area remarkable, though transitions inside
level-1 categories, like agricultural land [2.] or forests and
semi-natural areas [3..] are significantly higher.
* The following categories remained unchanged: transport
network [122], dump sites [132], green urban areas [141] and
natural grassland [321].
