DECIMAL CLASSIFICATION
Special author tables
Following tables from Library notes 2 .16 and 3:440 illustrate special
book-number tables for authors to whom individual clas numbers hav
been assignd, so Cutter numbers would be useless duplication. By this
method all material regarding author and his work is provided for
under his special number, but complete table is preferably used only for
authors on whom library is making a special collection (e. g. Shakspere,
Dante and Goethe), in other cases material coming under A-C being clast
in regular bibliografy and biografy numbers.
A-N ar common to all authors; O-Z ar assignd individually.
