Preliminary tests of the potential advantages of combining laser
scanner and GPS surveying fully justify the use of this method.
The precision obtained in the recording procedures and the
direct analysis of the complete model have demonstrated its
good reliability.
At the moment, we are conducting a study to evaluate the
precision of the model and to assess the applicability of the
method to larger portions of a territory.
Use of the survey for cartographic or cadastral purposes can be
hypothesized on the basis of the results of the restitution tests.
