The purpose we wanted to achieve through this study is the discrimination
and localisation of the variants of a ground situated in the south of the
saharian Atlas by the spectral and diffractometric methods combination.
In fact, the obtained results show that the inaccuracy of the spectral
signatures curves from 6 points ( 6 spectral bands of Landsat TM) do not allow
us to stand out the weak shades of the observed themes on the ground. An
improvement can be done by the use of the future HIRIS data which corresponds
to 192 spectral bands. At the diffractometric analysis results level, the
quantitative valuations are not accurate, for there is no precise correlation
between the diffraction tops height and the material quantities. However, for
a caracterization study, the results are all the more precise that the taken
samples are representative allowing therefore a approximed extrapolation on
all the region.
