ABSTRACT
The necessity of adopting complex photointerpretation-remote
sensing systems has required the well-grounded choice of variants, a process
that can be compared with the optimization of certain conditions of the basic
records, of the possibilities and of the available means. Essentially the
problem consists of using the whole set of data, which have been subjected to
a process of homogenization and calibration.
The proposed system involves: /1/ application of the volume
criterion to quantitative data; /2/ data reduction to a reference system
(geometric, spectroradiometric) by means of analogical processes mainly, the
digitizing being reserved for the samples; /3/ design of the system with
successive models, under restrictive conditions (risk considerations); /4/
technical and economical controls of the adopted system.
Both the R § D programmes were tested in the areas of the Danube
Delta and some suggestions are presented.
