to the tasks of the 7 Commissions of ISPRS. It is considered that the
quite variable forms in which National Reports have been presented in
the past make it difficult to yield a maximum of usefulness to the
readers of the reports. This handicap could be avoided if all National
Reports would be pres-ented in a more homogeneous form, i.e. , in a
somewhat standardized and sufficiently concentrated form.
To tackle the problem of National Reports, the Commission VI

would be in charge of studying the problem and eventually to come up

lines which might result in a somewhat standardized form of the Nation
al Reports.
To work out some kind of guidelines for the preparation of future
National Reports the Task Force considered it necessary to consult the
pertinent National Organizations through the National Reporters to
ISPRS Commission VI. In order to facilitate this task a special ques
tionnaire has been prepared by the Task Force and mailed to the Nation
al Reporters. This questionnaire contains 9 questions as follows:

2. Should separate Annexes to the National Report be accepted

3. Should National Reports include an Abstract and/or biographic
sketches of the preparers?
