Discussion 
In this section the received information is discussed according 
to the various questions of the questionnaire: 
Question 1 I Scheme of National Reportl 
From the obtained information it follows that 71% of the reporting 
countries recommended that the National Report should be structured 
according to the organizational scheme of ISPRS, i.e. start with re 
porting first on national activity belonging to ISPRS Commission I, 
then Commission II, etc. 29% of the reporting countries are opposed 
to strictly following this scheme when preparing the National Report. 
Question 2 Г Annexes to the National Reportl 
In the past a number of National Reports contained separate Annexes 
(copies of satellite images, of photographs, of maps, brochures, pros 
pectus, announcements, reprints, etc.). From the received information 
it follows that only 53% of the reporting countries are in favor of 
allowing such annexes while 47% of the reporting countries are. against. 
From this it might be concluded that the item of allowing or not allow 
ing such annexes still remains to be further considered by Commission 
VI. 
Question 3 Г Abstract to the National Report and/or biographic sketches 
of the prcparersl 
From the received information it follows that 59% of the reporting 
countries are not in favor of providing the National Report with an 
Abstract nor with biographic sketches of the preparers of the National 
Reports; 41% of the reporting countries are in favor of including in 
the National Report an Abstract and/or biographic sketches of the 
preparers. 
Q11estion 4 [Verbal Report <>n the National Report at the Congress 1 
The possibility could be considered that the program of ISPRS Con 
gresses provide a short time to allow the National Report preparers to 
verbally present a summary of the National Reports. The replies to
