underwent substantial changes during the
past several years. We offer modern
equipment and a dynamic research team
in which students nre fully integrated
together with faculty and staff. The
quality of our education in photogram-
metry builds on the following three
components:
Course Offerings
An extensive curriculum revision has
been accepted by the Graduate School,
which enables us to offer a specialized
PhD program in photogrammetry
featuring a number of advanced courses
in digital photogrammetry. and image
analysis.
Modern Equipment
Our world-class laboratories are available
to all photogrammetry students to further
enhance the theoretical knowledge gained
in the courses. Three analytical plotters,
digital cameras, and image processing
workstations provide students with a
comfortable, up-to-date working environ
ment to conduct their exercises and
research tasks.
Research
Our research projects, funded by external
organizations, offer not only financial
support to students in photogrammetry
(currently 10 students are supported as
research assistants) but poses a challenge
from pure theoretical research tasks to
more application oriented problems.
Presently, 20 graduate students are
specializing in photogrammetry. The
enrollment of 14 PhD students is an
all-time record. At the writing this paper,
half of them have passed the General
Examination and are now working on
their dissertations.
