The situation differ by the tension of 
ecological processes tension in the following way: 
1/ non-stable, 2/ critical, 3/ crisis, 4/ catastrophic. 
The criteria of such separation are based on the 
level of affection and rupture of the connections of 
biogeocenotic elements of the system. The complex 
approach is needed for correct account of 
interlevel character of relations in large regions. 
Practically such approach is realized by means 
of making series of thematic monitoring maps. 
The series of natural resources maps compiled on 
the basis of space data allow to reveal the modern structure 
of ecological potential of the territory in its full 
completeness and variety of ecological situations and 
allow to obtain complex characteristics of
