usage, development of cadastral level action plan, risk analysis in
the event of certain assumptions are not satisfied, objective
impact assessment using space technology, development of
ecological models to project future developmental scenario, etc.,
could not be addressed. High spatial resolution (2.5 m) PAN
stereo data from the Indian Remote Sensing Satellite (IRS-
P5/Cartosat 1); and better than 10m spatial resolution data from
IRS-P6 (Resourcesat) may enable generating cadastral-level
action plan for sustainable development of land and water
resources
Hyperspectral data from MODIS aboard EOS mission, and high
spatial resolution (<2.0m) satellite data likely to be available
from IRS-P5 (Cartosat). Quickbird. IKONOS-II, EROS-A and
B, and Orbview-3 and 4 may help further refining the data base
on natural resources, and will eventually lead to formulation of
improved developmental plans.
